There are few things more rewarding than experiencing the joy of tradition during the holiday season. We will celebrate again this year with a very special occasion, which we hope will become one of your family’s traditions.

On Sunday, December 7, Ballet Tucson will host its 14th Annual Sugar Plum Tea. Gingerbread and confections of every kind will transform the ballroom at the Marriott University Park into a magical setting for this hallmark holiday event. Join Ballet Tucson artists along with the Sugar Plum Fairy, Clara, and other characters from The Nutcracker ballet in celebrating the holidays with sights and sounds of the season and delights for the whole family.

The entertainment highlight for this year’s event is Ronstadt Generations. Representing five generations in North America, Ronstadt Generations continues the family’s musical traditions with Michael J. Ronstadt (younger brother of Linda) and his son, Petie. Multi-instrumentalists and solo performers in their own right, they present an exciting repertoire that preserves the traditional Southwestern and Mexican songs of their heritage while offering innovative original material. Additional live musical entertainment will by provided by renowned harpist Christine Vivona. Other festivities will include a holiday marketplace of Nutcracker collectibles, an exceptional silent auction of gifts and treasures, a narration of The Nutcracker story with characters from the ballet, and a live performance by Ballet Tucson’s talented professional dancers. There will be two seatings for high tea: 11:00 am and 3:00 pm
