The long-awaited EP
Walter Eats a Peanut was a surprising joy to work on. During the complete crap and stress of
Get Octopodic, I was working on this album. I hooked up with drummer Paul Brandt, and wrote four songs and re-arranged one from my first album. The process was smooth and quick, quite a difference from
Get Octopodic, and I think the songwriting shows a lot of growth. This is especially true in the case of what I feel are more creative arrangements. The melodies were played on a second guitar that was treated with light chorus and heavy reverb, which I feel gives the album a somewhat brooding and mysterious quality.
